The Proverbs 31 Woman Is a Real Estate Investor - And Nobody Talks About It

Proverbs 31 isn’t just about a godly wife. It’s a detailed financial blueprint for a Power Household - with real estate investment, multiple income streams, and a hired team. Here’s what it actually says.

Most women encounter Proverbs 31 as a list of things they’re failing to do. The perfect wife who rises before dawn, sews the family’s clothes, runs a business, raises exemplary children, and still has time to help the poor. It reads less like inspiration and more like indictment.

But what if you’ve been reading it wrong? What if Proverbs 31 isn’t a checklist for wives at all - but a financial blueprint for a Power Household?

Proverbs 31 is not a standard you are failing to meet. It is a portrait of what becomes possible when a household operates the way God designed it to.

What the Passage Is Actually Describing

Read Proverbs 31:10-31 not as a job description for a wife, but as an economic portrait of a household operating at full Kingdom capacity. Line by line, here's what's actually there.

This is exactly what JP and I have been doing since 2018. We consider properties, analyze deals, purchase them, and put them to productive use. Proverbs 31 described our business before we started it.

What the Full Portrait Shows

Step back and look at the whole picture: multiple income streams, real estate investment, a hired team, generous giving, intentional parenting, and a marriage built on full trust and clearly defined roles. That is not an impossible standard. That is a Power Household operating at full Kingdom capacity. And it has been in scripture the entire time.

What This Looks Like in Our Home

When I read Proverbs 31 and look at our household, I don’t see perfection. I see a direction. I see the kind of household JP and I are actively building toward.

  • Multiple income streams: real estate flips, rental income, and coaching income. Each took time to build, but they flow simultaneously.

  • Real estate investment: verse 16. We consider properties, analyze deals, buy them, and put them to productive use.

  • Hired help: we have a team. The principle of hiring so your time is freed for higher-leverage work is Proverbs 31.

  • Intentional parenting: our boys are with us all day. Jack and Ben run their own company - Bro-fessional Services because they’re growing up inside a household that treats building as normal.

She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.

— Proverbs 31:25

She can laugh at the days to come. Not because she knows exactly how it will all work out. Because she’s operating inside a system designed by God for her household’s flourishing. That confidence is available to your household too.
